Can't change Compact Menu 2 icon

Hello everyone. I'm having some trouble changing the default icon for Compact Menu 2 on Firefox 3.0.1. I using Windows XP SP3. I'm trying to change it to this icon here: http://bebi.r0x0rs.com/uploads/compactmenu2.png

Bebi Bulma has been trying to help me solve this problem but we haven't had any luck getting it to work on my Firefox.

I've edited my userChrome.css file in my chrome folder and put the icon in the right places but nothing seems to work. Here are the different mods to the userChrome.css file that I have tried:

http://pastebin.com/m3802d811

http://pastebin.com/m1b9b0fe3

The first one is the same code Bebi is using but with a different path to the icon. Even though I'm using the same Compact Menu extension, version of Firefox, and icon as she is, that code works for her but not me, it still shows the default globe icon. The only way I've gotten it to work is to use a work-around by changing the path to the icon from the one on my computer to the url where she uploaded the icon, shown here:

http://pastebin.com/m27224ea6

But now the icon disappears when I hover over it.

I would really like to fix this so that new icon is the one on on my computer and it doesn't dissapear when hover over it or click on it. Any ideas?

why not just edit/replace the actual icon with the one you want? this is how i did it:

-Close FF3

-Go to x:Documents and SettingsApplication DataMozillaFirefoxProfilesxxxxxxxx.defaultextensions{57068FBE-1506-42ee-AB02-BD183E7999E4}chrome

-Make backup copy of compact.jar, store somewhere else.

-Open/uncompress the file "compact.jar" with winzip/winrar etc..

-Look for the file blue.png 16x48 px). the .png has 3 images tiled - normal, hover, pressed. Replace that. -Re-compress as compact.jar

-Replace original compact.jar with the edited one (in the same location of course)

-Restart FF3

Cheers.

Thanks, that works well, except if I don't replace the 'blue.png' image with one that is tiled as well the icon will disappear when I hover over it. So since my Photoshop skills are severely lacking, could you or someone who has the skill, tile the image I linked to above so that it is like the original 'blue.png' image and upload it here, please?
