What cleans leather best?

Yes yes i know i'm asking a lot of questions lately, whatever.

What cleaning product would be best to clean/remove marks (like dirt, scuffs, marker ink) on soft leather? I used a very very potent solution on a little spot, but it seemed to have burned the leather. I know soft leather is very porous, but i don't know what to do.

Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Those pants aren't machine washable, IOW, detergent won't work.

Saddle Soap works great on my couch... try that
