iTunes 7.7.1 just woke up the Update Utility in my dock. No word on what it does besides "improve stability and performance". Keep in mind that this comes a few days after iPhone app DRM was cracked, so if you're dabbling in the black arts of app swapping, you probably want to wait until someone else reports on whether this affects that or not before upgrading.

Well, I updated. Now iTunes tells me there are 2 apps to update, but when look and see what updates there are, it seems all my apps need updating. Odd, considering the App Store on the phone doesn't report updates.

To be honest I can't tell. It might be a smidgen more stable in Vista, but the real problems there were months ago.

Is there going to be another iPod Classic firmware update, or is the next update the new iPod?

It is giving you iPhone & iPod Touch Software v2.0.1, but this version is only shown when you click restore iPod.
