Redistribution of "YzShadow" and "Styler"

Hi, I'm working on a project called Mac OS X iLimited on deviantART: http://nlm-studios.deviantart.com/art/Mac-...nshots-89315969

I have currently received the needed approvel from the nice people at Punk Labs to redistribute Rocket Dock with my project.

There is one probelm though, I can't seem to find the developers emails to the two programs: yZShadow and Styler. I have noticed that a lot of people are already redistributing the two programs (most likely without permission).

Is that "legal"?

Or would anybody be kind enough to give me the emails if they have them. I would really appreciate it :)

Thanks

Kind regards,

I seriously doubt that they would care, as long as you make it clear that Y'z Shadow and Styler are not your works.

When in doubt....don't.

Most authors aren't fond of people redistributing their stuff without permission.

I don't know any programmers who don't like their applications to be distributed to more people, personally. :P

Unless they are closed betas ^^

Seriously, just do it, I don't think that sites like MajorGeek, softpedia even ask for mirroring it, and yeah, developpers are usually happy as long as you don't take credits for the app (I mean just say it's a third party app in the readme), that applies for yzShadow but I have some doubts concerning Styler since it's not free ... Maybe they are ok as long as you just provide the trial. Many packs like Flakrite, RkLauncher installers are redistributing applications, I don't know if they have asked or not ... Usually the permission is needed for gfx art like wallpapers, icons, etc ...

Thank you all for your replies

I totally understand your point regarding yzshadow, what i do not understand is that you call Styler a non-freeware. Are we talking about the same "Styler"? This is the Styler I am talking about: http://www.crystalxp.net/galerie/en.id.551-styler-1-401.html

No, I was talking about beta apps generally ;)

Didn't Susumu develop Styler? Styler has been out of development for 2 or 3 years now. Like someone else said, I doubt they would care now.
