Dashboard borked =(

So late last night I was fiddling with my Dock, changing the skin, making it clear, etc. In the end, I ended up sticking with the original 2D dock that Leopard has. but anyway.

When I was done, I decided to take a peek on Dashboard to see what the weather was bringing... I found myself waiting 3 minutes for the widgets to even *load*. Which, they never did. Dashboard *always* stays like this [attacted screenshot], and whenever I try to move, close, or open a new widget, Dashboard crashes. Opening a new widget works, I see the ripple, etc, but nothing afterwords.

Please, give me some hint on how to repair or reinstall Dashboard -- I really would like NOT to have to reinstall Leopard for something as foolish as just Dashboard.

Caution: this is coming from a Linux user whose only Mac OS X experience is with fooling around in ssh on an iPod touch.

Wipe out your Dashboard configuration. Use Terminal to kill dashboard and then remove its preferences directory, probably ~/Library/Preferences/Dashboard or something similar. You'll have to do a fair amount of widget recovery but it should fix your problems.

I can only suggest grab a copy of Onyx which will help reset a bunch of system preferences, I'm sure one them is the Dashboard.
