Aqua Soft not working with desired modification, any help?

Hello. Aqua Soft is the default skin on my forum. Every now and then I come across a modification that doesn't easily work with the skin, however. It's not a big deal as I can usually figure out how to get it working, or decide it's not important enough for my forum.

However. we're getting lots of dupe threads now on my forum and [AJAX] Check for similar thread before posting a new one is perfect for addressing that. My most active users have requested it and I really like it. It's elegant, fast and effective.

When I import the product it works perfectly with the generic vBulletin skin. But it doesn't work with Aqua Soft. The "similar threads" box doesn't show up at all. Many mod coders don't like to support 3rd party skins and point the finger at the skin for causing the incompatibility. I've asked that coder for any help but haven't gotten a reply...

So, is there a way to look at a mod and see what it's looking for in a template, to somehow force it to work? I'd really appreciate any assistance in getting this working with Aqua Soft.

Do you have a link to your forums with the skin & mod installed? Also do you see any templates that mod uses? If they're small mods I don't mind editing the templates for you.

The mod adds 2 new templates, it changes 1 template and it edits 2 files.

It's the one template change that needs to be done manually in Aqua Soft, I just can't figure it out.
