Internet Connection clogging up?

another day, another windows problem.

My mom (yes, that's right. i'm a kid) wants to watch this video on BNN or something. She does it all the time with her brand spanking new laptop that has vista installed on it unfortunately. Anyways it's been 5 months since the purchase, and nothing ever went wrong.

However, something always does.

Lately, the videos will not stream fast enough. They work for 15 seconds and then after that, it's a 2 - 10 minute period devoted to streaming them. So, my question is, is BNN clogging up or is it my connection? I don't think it's the latter because only recently she's been having this problem. So, any ideas?

Probably either their servers being overloaded, or your connection wobbling.

Both of which are out of your hands, so there is not anything you can do, save contacting your ISP and hoping they do something about it.

(For what it's worth the problem would probably be worse on XP)

Hm, i don't think it's the servers, and it can't be my connection. having 4 computers in the house hooked up to the same connection (3 of them wireless) they all manage to stay online just fine. 4 or 5 bars throughout.

Do the others suffer the same issues? (And for the record, how fast you're getting your connection has nothing to do with how strong the wireless connection is)

Hm, i should've considered testing the other computers. I'll see what's up with them and get back to you (or whoever else is reading this thread).

Good good.

If it's the same with them, it's probabably out of your hands.

If it's just that one, then you probably have something spappin' yo internet.
