Apple Inc without Steve

Got this from 9to5Mac and figured it would be a great discussion to have.

Apple's co-founder is arguably the most innovative and succesful turnaround artist and tech visionary in Silicon Valley, and rumours of illness following his appearance at WWDC last week saw dollars knocked off of Apple's share price.

With a recent report claiming Apple's iconic designer, Jonathan Ive, has purchased a mansion in the UK, and continued jitters at the health of the Apple CEO, company-watchers are beginning to ask if Apple has a succession strategy in place. The question is, if Jobs (or Ive, come to that) were to leave Apple, does the company already have the kind of visionary leader it requires to manage the consequences of the loss of their DNA?

I'm sure there are capable people at apple, who would manage to run apple after SJ. But I ain't choosing one.

I can hardly think of anyone would take apple to the heights Jobs have taken. There is no visionary like him, not to mention his smart business mind. Who would have thought that apple would rise back the way it did, from the depths it had gone down to... when Jobs came back to apple.

Can apple manage without jobs? yes, I think so.

Can apple go to new heights without Jobs? I really have my doubts.

To put it in short. Without jobs apple will be just another company... Jobs is the soul of apple.

You can hate or love apple, but you can't deny the greatness of this man.
