Jmitch - Just use Reshacker with the QCDplayer.exe file. Search for all instances of "QCD Player" and change the text "QCD Player" to whatever you want. That's what Iceman did (and more) for B35.
To Spidercrabx
Really. Cool. I'll give that a try. I am assuming I can get reshacker at download.com. Will give it a try. Thanks.
Yeah....thanks for bringing that to my attention...I'll do that and post an update here soon...
Cheers,
Siddharth
Thats good siddarth, 'cause I can't find reshacker anywhere. It is a program right??
Thanks!
And one other idea, now that I think of it. Is it possible to change the name of the desktop to finder?? Than we'd be all set! Could you use reshacker or something?? Maybe a registry tweak??
As I promised here are the updated QCD files....

enjoy,

First of all: a big thank you to Spidercrabx (and Gameboyz before him) for making an excellent iTunes skin for an excellent media player (QCD), we owe you big time...
On a second note, I don't know what Jmitch smoked (and if it's really good, he might pass along something here, too
), but I have to confirm his "version of the facts": in MacOs X the three "widgets" (although this term is nonetheless inadequate on a Mac platform...
) DOES bright up together when you hover the mouse over 'em, even in iTunes: go to http://www.apple.com/macosx/theater/dock.html
and see the Apple promo, it shows it very well...
(mmmh... maybe there are other people who smokes really good stuff here... ![]()

Okay, I just re-read what I wrote before and realize my mistake also. As Jmitch and Spacedog says, they all light up at the same time but individually, they have a change when selected. Unfortunately, there is no way at the moment to make QCD light them up at the same time because QCD works on color mapping as opposed to scripts. Like I mentioned before, I made it work "as much as possible" like the real iTunes. By the way Siddharth, good job on the icons!
Cheers!
One, I knew I was right about that. Why would they make all other windows and applications light up differently? And, two I dont smoke jack. Thank you very much I am not a pothead or any of the sort.
But one thing GameBoyz. I could of swarn on an earlier version of QCD and an earlier version of your skin you had them all light up! No, matter of fact I KNOW they all lit up! That is why I questioned it. Because they did this on a previous version. Im telling you its true. Maybe you dont remember but I do. ![]()

Oh boy, got an error, in QCD with the new files Siddharth. It wont startup. Encounters an internal error... ![]()
EDIT:
Here, let me try downloading them again and re-copying the files.
Nope. didnt work. Does it work for you Siddharth??
Well I'll tell you a solution for that
1) Uninstall QCD
2) Delete it's directory
3) Remove all it's registry entries using a registry cleaner application
4) Then re-install QCD (make sure it's B36)
5) Make all configurations and apply the iTunes skin
6) As a last step replace the QCD files with my tweaked files.
Hope that helps,
Siddharth
Dangit! I followed your steps and still!! Nothing. Has anyone else had any luck?? Maybe theres a slightly later version of build 36 that I need.
Just a quick tip to make the iTunes version of QCD a little more... perfect?!? ![]()
This will help you correct the context menu of files associated with QCD:
Open Regedit and navigate to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\QCD.file; here you'll find three subkeys, open the one called shell.
Here you'll have to modify QCD.enqueue and QCD.play, substituting the two values "&Enqueue in QCD" and "&Play in QCD" with (obviously...
) "%Enqueue in iTunes" and "&Play in iTunes".
Repeat the steps above for the subsequent key HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\QCD.playlist.
You can see the results here:

Will you guys stop using GEOCITIES for files, I mean come on they are so paranoid and don't want warez or anything like that they remove anythings thats bigger then a certain size. 0catch.com is a good place check it out.

Peace out.
