Aqua-Soft ForumsHi, I downloaded many weather docklets on RK Launcher and none of them worked. The one that did show any signs of life : weather.dll, gives me "Invalid Information Received" whatever I input in the "Configure Weather" options. Any help?
No Weather Docklet Working in RKLauncher?
It's because Yahoo! Weather and Weather.com have changed their URLs for getting the information. They'll need to be updated before they will start working again.
I too had the same problem with RK Laucher Leopard Vista version -it came with the weather docklet but suddenly one day it gave that error message invalid information ... and then subsequently the icons disappeared on reboot. It was never working again so I then uninstalled and reinstalled the XP Leopard inspired version. and It work fine but no weahter docklet -How can i notified of upcoming build changes or upgrades to RK Launcher ?
It's not RKLauncher that is the problem. It's the weather docklet. The script for the docklet needs to be updated to point to the new URLs.
Off-topic: RKLauncher hasn't been updates in quite some time and I doubt we'll ever see a new version in the near future.
this weather thang is real important to me, looks like im uninstalling rk launcher, any good alternatives?
