u should use the patch, it won't use resources like StyleXP will, and u don't have to pay for it. although StyleXP has a nice organized way to load themes...

It still uses resources over just using classic because *some* bitmaps being stretched and blitted ot the screen always take more resources and memory than no bitmaps (like in classic) but styleXP uses even more resources. So I'd say go with the patch.

THEMES ALWAYS USE RESOURCES

You use svhost+uxtheme which is the themes service when you use a visual style and it's a service\program like anything else.
