Please correct the Transalate widget's link from altavista to yahoo.
Translator Widget...... doesn't work!
I've been trying to use the transaltor for a while and had problems (it just didn't work-do anything) so I serached and finally found this... the only problem I have now is tha I have no idea how to "correct" it - the link- from altavista to yahoo. So I would really appreciate you telling me how cuz I've searched in all the options the widget has and I don't found anything

Sorry it has been forever since I worked on this, I have corrected the url and the Widget seems to be working fine now. Going to do a few more things to it and I will update it on the Deviantart page sometime today.

Seems some text is not displaying I'm not sure if it is my computer of the widget. It shows nothing for Russian, Japanese, Greek, Korean, Chinese (Simplified or Traditional) is there language files I need to install? I really don't remember it has been so long but I think I went to Microsoft and installed some language packs anybody know?
Ok seems to be a bug I'm looking into it.
I need someone to test this on xp. it works on the Macintosh but on my system the Russian, Japanese, Greek, Korean, Chinese (Simplified or Traditional) translations do not appear. I even installed Chinese Simplified and it made no difference. Please check and let me know, the debug window is set to display.
I only have French & English language packs but i made some tests :

That's what I mean the language packs should not matter, thanks for your help.

Unicode: U+041F, U+043E, U+002D, U+0440, etc.
These are Unicode characters of more than 8 bits (actually 16-bit characters). The fetch call is treating them as 8 bits and substituting nul in it's place. I have fixed it and it will be available soon.
Ok found some more bugs, Seems Yahoo changed more than just the Babelfish url. This might take a little while but I will finish it.

Ok everything is working now updated the Widget to use a minimum version of 4.0 working on getting to run with 4.5. Tweaked the graphic, added sound, context menu entries. This will be just a little while longer working on a better way of displaying the drop down menu so that it work correctly on the mac(don't want to leave my friends out). I think everyone will enjoy the new Translate Widget.
Do you mean your getting the debug window? If so I have it turned on in the previous download. Also in that version translating to Russian and some others is broken also translating anything to English is broken.
Here is a new version with all of those fixes plus a few extras. I' working on a new menu because there is a problem on the make with the zOrder which makes most of the men unclickable. This is not final I have a few more things to do but what is there works fine on Windows. Re download from the previous link.

It will be in the final release, the last one works for translations now I just want to get all code working for version 4.5 of the Widget engine.
Question: Are the Leopard menus white or are the slightly gray as in the Snow Leopard theme for WindowBlinds?
Ok the new menu class is working great I even added some skins to it for those that want the menu to match there OS. I will also be adding Windows Classic, Windows XP and Windows Vista menus. After that I will be looking into the flip animation this may take awhile because I have to do all the images for it. But then I think it will be a good update.
Ok guys/girls it is finished all but creating a help file. That would have been done except I got side tracked on the iTunes Widget, that's right I got it working again now it is up to version 4.0 for yahoo. As soon as I get it up to 4.5 and working on Macintosh I will release it. The Translator Widget has been tested on Windows XP and Os X 10.4 work fine on both. Going to do the help file now will post when I get it uploaded to Deviantart.
