Help with a logo..

Hello board members, any talented artists want to make me a better logo for my local footie team? Kinda swish and 3d/shiny, here's the basic idea....

Anyone? Would be much appreciated, will end up on our shirts sooo...., all credit will be given.

hey Ant103, nice start. Just throwing my 2 cosmic cents in here but how about making 'saturn' a little larger, you can have the text "LC Galaxy" overlap slightly the bottom left curve of the planet's rings. And make the reflection curve match the orientation and direction of the blue thingy in the original mockup. (rather than it's current curve which arcs over part of the planet. So there will actually be two reflection lines/curves that follow the blue "S" but not all 4 sides, only the 2 curvy sides. does this make sense?

Lastly, if he/she is going to use this as their logo, are all the elements you used (images and font,) royalty free/open licensed? If so, good work so far

Hey I think thats a great start, the only thing I forgot to mention is that we are sponsored by Inter sport so needed to incorporate their logo (the red and blue shapes), and maybe change the font, its a bit too intergalactic! and maybe make it larger. Black and yellow are our colours so needs to be kept to that i think. I also think th saturn has to be a design rather than a photo type picture for print reasons. Apart from that I think its good.
