[Request] Outlook Xp

Hello there community!

Are there any reasons why microsoft outlook xp (not outlook express) hasnt been skinned or modded??? it is driving me nuts to see that horribly looking mail program everyday!!! sadly i have to use outlook, OE doesnt do the trick in my case...

Is there any skinner / modder /miracle worker out there who can start n outlook project??!?!?

PLEEEEASE, it does need a face lift dont you think??? its one of the ugliest looking progz out there!!! for crissakes, the taskbar looks like a win95 machine...

Hope to hear something about it (hopefully positive!)

till then, cheers,

seph

it's an OE mod, and a very sweet one at that. i've used outlook (full) for so long it's hard to go back to OE. but i haven't heard of anyone making a skin for outlook xp. :(

outlook is the sucks

go download outlook express and use some other kind of calendar.

#50175

@ Juno: and what calendar do you recomend?

#50180

indeed, what calendar?

as far as i've seen, and i've had a lot of time on my hands lately, there are no skinnable (regular) msoffice progz >.<

I-MODE is working on a port of iCal, which looks promising (and gorgeous). he says the beta should be up soon. till then it's the ugly outlook calendar.

I am working on iCal clone...

and I am considering working on a Mail clone too...

Try the Palm desktop. Really, it's a nice, useful standalone app, too (http://www.palm.com).

If you are interested in a beefed up version, Agendus / AgendusPro (http://www.iambic.com/agenduspro/win/ ) is really useable. It can even make use of Outlook data.

Have fun,
