Please, the project is easy, but I need to work with somebody who have TIME, because I've tried to make this launcher with other people, and finally they haven't time...

Like the idea, it would be cooler if it was like the Piclens extension for Firefox. Heres a demonstration video from youtube.
Probably would be difficult, i wouldn't know because i am a dreamer not a developer, or you could do a something like coverflow and frontrow mixed.

But, PicLens is not what I'm looking for.
My idea is to build a launcher but not a DOCK. The dock is a very good tool for OS like Mac Os's, but not for Windows. I'm trying to build a launcher that integrates well in the Windows platform.
And, I want that launcher have a GUI integrtated with Vista in particular. Vista/XP needs a lot an 1 click launcher, and AvantLaunch will be the one that really do that!

In which language do you want to develop it? How much is already done? Do you want to make it skinable?
Somebody did or started something like this over at Neowin and it never went anywhere.
It should be easy enough to do. I'd volunteer for doing it in DX but, Vista and DX aren't consistently playing nicely yet.
I dont know "what language" (if you're refering to the code)...
The languages for the application must be Spanish and English.
I'm the designer, but the coder abandoned his work. I don't know what language yo can use. If you see my mockup, you can evaluate the proper language to work with.
Matonga was the develeper that I used to work, but now he "dissapeared"... Maybe he haven't time.
I don't want to to make AvantLaunch skinable at all... Just simple.

Well here's what I did with it in my comp (in the attached zip )
Nothing new , but thats perhaps all that can be done without the sourcecode . And also brought the size down to half !
But for the idea .... well I think its not something very catchy u know . What exactly do u intend to do with this ?? All I can see is it helps to have a clear desktop and have a "dump" kind of thing which comes up to provide u with the desktop icons to launch from . Useful for those that have the bad habit of cluttering up desktops but also desire a clean one !!
Other than that I see no use of it unless u can suggest something very interesting 
Also I see in the original thread u asked for installable program . Thats as bad a idea as easily achieveable it is

The file that you've attached is the SAME that I got, was made ENTIRELY by Matonga (member of Aqua-Soft too!) Please, before you do a post, search Avantlaunch in the forums...
Avantlaunch is an idea o MINE and was developed by Matonga. He's now busy and he canno't continue his work.
The file that you've attached is an alpha release made by him, you only change the size.
Now, I'm searching for a developer to continue his work... or make the launcher from the scratch.
This version is incomplete, is not the project at all. This version still needs:
1) The Avantlaunch screen must appear when you click the middle mouse button (not only WINDOWS + A)
2) The fonts must be fixed
3) Add options to select the folder that contains shortcuts.
4) Manualy arrange the icons in the grid
5) The main screen must cover the whole screen with the EXCEPTION of taskbar.
And... some littles changes more...

I thought since u want betterment of this thing so making the size small wud be something nice . No one can do anything else if u dont give the sourcecode .

Anyway, I have not the source code, and I don't know what's the language that matonga used...
That's why I'm looking for a developer to create AvantLauch from the scratch (think is better).
My proposal is to work with a developer who follow my idea, in design terms...
Think the idea is very good, because I'm tired to search something like that... and nothing comes...
The goog part will be that you can invoke the whole screen of shortcuts by pressing middle mouse button, therefore you have your entire space free to move the mouse. This is not the case when you use a DOCK, because the only way to "clean the view" is to set automatic hide feature in the dock, but when you move your mouse accidentally to the borders of the screen, de dock jumps, and this is the reason that I dont want to use a Dock.
I think AvantLaunch will be a very nice tool, and will fits well in the Vista GUI, that's my intention.
Aqua-Soft Forums
