Hard disk Icon

Hi guys,

I just got my first mac book a few days ago and i encountered this problem today.

After i downloaded and installed firefox, my hard disk icon disappeared on my desktop.

When i open up a file explorer, under "devices", the hard disk disappeared too. (initially it was there, im pretty sure.)

I tried going to the Finder -> Preference to enable hard disk way but it didn't work.

I've tried trashing the plist and it didn't work too.

i was wondering if i accidentally deleted the hard disk shortcut without know it.

Is there anyway i can get it back?

Try one of those icon changing apps for Mac OS X. They could restore that Hard Drive icon for you or just replace it with another icon.
