Heres An Idea...maybe

I just found out that (and i know im slow) Mac lets you download iTunes and iCal for free. If there are any Mac Emulation programs, couldnt we runs the real version of these programs? Has anyone tried this and are there any good Mac Emulator programs?

Thanks

Unfortunately there is no way to emulate OS X using PC (Wintel) hardware, at least not a this moment. And iTunes and iCalc needs OS X to run, they can't run on Windows :(

yep to do that we would need a power pc emulator. as far as I know there is'nt one. well the ppl who made softmac said they working on one. have'nt herd much more then that.

we wouldnt even need osx, all we would need is a pcc emulator that runs 8.6 :)

As Timan said, you just need to hack your computer system, to change the OS version, to 10.2.1 or something like that, and then the application can be extracted and executed, but you need to create some folders. But you wontbe able to tun OSX on your PC, not possible to be done by a emulator at the moment.

well itunes came out before osx did ;) there is a version floating around thats for os9 itunes 2 i believe, anyway you just need fakeos9 (app) and wala you got a working itunes. (i had to do it on my imac before i had os9 and X) so we just need a ppc emu.

Thank you all, so much for that idea. I suppose it would be pretty hard to emulate an entirely different hardware base. I wonder if anyone could have iTunes and alike to make them run on non PPC. I mean, they are not very intense programs.

more than a mere problem with different hardware.

there are older mac emulators out.

that will run up to 8.0..

the real proboblem is that

G4 chips process in 128bit chunks

and PC's are still doing 32bit's

it'd be like trying to write a PS2 emulator for the SuperNintendo..

:D
