XP Leopard Logon

XP LEOPARD Style Logon

I have noticed that there have been a number of queries regarding a XP Leopard style logon.

Leopard uses the flat grey used in all their Gui apps (not the horizontal stripes) and as those of you working on a Mac also know, the logon thoughtfully displays your name under the MAC OS X text above the input box.

I have made a quick update to the existing logon screens apps changing the graphic elements only and putting GENERIC OS information in place of the user name....

This is a simple and basic mod to meet a small demand. I have not repositioned the "restart' button. The "restart" button still exists (and works) at the bottom, in the middle - but its invisible. The two buttons seen at the bottom, are decorative and non-functional. The rest is identical to the existing "Tiger" versions.

sorry to be troubling you but i use a program called TuneUp WinStyler and it says that because i have the old network prompt logon screen i cannot just replace my logonui.exe and i dont know if i can change this old style logon to the normal style XP logon because i am running on a network which i connect to at start-up so if anyone knows how i can change my logon style from old to new it would be great if u could provide me with instructions or a tut or sumthing.

Incase people dont know what im talking about here are SS's

This is a great screen, however it doesn't quite show properly on my widescreen laptop (the bottom of the top line of text is hidden slightly by the line underneath).

I've tried at various times in the past to edit the logonui.exe from flyakite with reshacker, but I have never been able to solve all the conflict errors that making changes throws up. Is there any chance anyone could talk me through editing the 2005 (1033) bitmap and making the necessary changes to avoid errors?

Likewise, if anyone can explain how to change the fonts on the logon screen, I would be very grateful - I have tried simply changing the name of the fonts that appear in the String Table and UIFILE, but 'cos I don't really know what I'm doing, I get errors when I try to use the file.

Any help would be great.
