Many of us end up with a huge stack of icons in the dock, which can end up cluttered and unsightly.
The solution ::
Grouping.
Suppose i mouseover this folder here :
And the contents thereof expand along the dock, and disappear again when focus is lost.
so there's my stoopid throw away idea... i'm afraid i can't code to save myself, and im not sure how possible something like this would be under the current docklet architecture, but it'd be cool to have

what if a person has 100 files in that folder, think abt that 
If there was some way to code KKMenu into ObjectDock so you didnt have to program them, thatd be awesome and would do just about what you want to do, except cleaner.
I just found this topic so I'll repeat some ideas already posted somewhere else:
1. Weather Docklet for other countries, not only USA.
2. Animation Docklet should run defined app when clicked.
3. eCam docklet? Just showing jpegs at regular intervals, taken from one web address. I think it would be simple.
4. QCD control docklet (with visualisations, whoa!!)
And something more: not a docklet, well I don't know. When minimize playing movie, let it play in dock (just like on mac, I think).

the movie thing you talked about...
i'd wish it was possible in windows, but it isnt :/
a screenshot of a minimized window just doesnt exist, OD takes the screenshot a moment before you minimize the window to make the closest effect 
but if it could integrate into WMP and know what movie i'm watching, then it would be possible...but that would be a lot harder
