Here is a test version (may have problems) of Firebird Macqua - for 1.5b skin version only (nightly versions). Toolbar icons were created by Kevin Gerich and are released under GPL. Please inform me of any bugs. Thanks.

Hey Lynch,

Nice job! However, being my Conservative nature...lol...I'm still on Jack Comics (paid $$$) 0.6.1 build that still has "1.2" skinVersion...

I see if I can get someone @Mozillazine to covert it from "1.5" to "1.2" theme-skinVersion...

;)

Lynch,

Just PM to Daihard (again) to hold off converting back to "1.2" until you get the great looking theme, just where you want... :lol:

I am loving it. (Y)

my font messes up the address and the search bars though.

is there anyway i can expand the ends of the bars so that i can keep my font?

Make adjustments to compensate, in browser/browser.css, to the rightcap and leftcap positioning.

#urlbar > .autocomplete-textbox-container {
border: medium none;
 background-image: url('chrome://browser/skin/leftcap.png');
background-position: left center;
background-repeat: no-repeat;
padding-left: 4px;
padding-right: 0px;
padding-top: 4px;
padding-bottom: 5px;
background-color: #transparent;
min-height: 22px !important; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:2px
}

.autocomplete-history-dropmarker {
 border: medium none;
 background: url('chrome://browser/skin/rightcap.png') no-repeat !important;
 list-style-image:url('chrome://global/skin/arrow/snapback.png') !important; width:20px !important; margin-left:0px; margin-right:0px; margin-top:3px; margin-bottom:6px; background-image:url('chrome://browser/skin/rightcap.png') !important; background-repeat:no-repeat !important; background-color:transparent !important
}

Lynch,

he-he...I couldn't wait so I D/L AE's Unofficial Win32 2003-08-17 Optomized build for P3, and am loving this theme! (btw: this build is very stable...except it crashes once is a while when changes themes (no issues upon restarts) nothing like the 2003-08-20 builds & later where no "1.5" will work at all, but I now will not need many more...

As I posted at your 'hot' thread @Mozillazine, I love the Aqua-coloured globes in the BTF (Bookmarks Toolbar Folder)...when you get the Toolbar tabs and throbber done, man this will be very elegant!

I keep looking at your thread @Mozillazine, and the 'views' have gone to 300+ in under (1) hour...lol...I knew that it would be a very popular theme!

Try changing the top and/or bottom margins in small increments until it lines up.

...and fully skinned "Macquaskin" for Classic or win9x users:

New and improved icons are soon to arrive - these are a little rough.

This theme is AWESOME! Thank you so much for making this Lynch, this is exactly what I wanted and was waiting for... I swear, you make my browsing expirence just THAT much better each and everytime I open FireBird, thanks!

#49967

Thanks Ragin - the next version should be much better. The icons will be of higher quality and they will "light-up" when hover over.

#49978

WOW Light up buttons....I cant wait for that. (Y)

Hey Lynch,

he-he...can't wait for the next update with new icons, hover over light up features, man I now use Macaqua (unskinned) with KoL's Panther and the Panther stripes, just like in your ss look superb...

When I use Iceman's Aqua VS, then I use MacAquaskin, and the SmoothStripes look of the whole theme, with the Aqua scrollbars combined with SmoothStripes Aqau-soft skin by Timan...using ja450n Aqua shellWM skin, which (for me) is running running very stable with FB, YzShadow 1.3, and WinXP SP1....and when ever the devs @shellWM get the code somewhat finalized at least before 1.0 comes out (crosses his fingers-lol) ja450n kindly suggested that he would come out with a matching Panther skin to his nice X-Port VS (Fonts look nice and accurate)

Just beautifully elegant!

;)

P.S. Just saw this @Mozillazine:

"The next version will have a similar file style to that of SAF - so there will be a hover "brightness" - no box."

#50008

Both Macqua and Macquaskin have been updated with hover brightness etc.. at my site :)

#50397

The more I look at both of updated Macaqua themes, with the fantastic Aqua Bright hover colour, I think you added SS colour to the tabs-thin black line around tabs (maybe it was already there)...just outstanding!

The aqua-tweaking colour of the throbber is (Y)

btw: Was it the recently updated code/bindings that you put into this theme, that keeps it clear from the dreaded browser shakes of other "1.5" themes...

#50451

No, I discoved that I could no longer use "moz-appearance - none" in the bookmark-item css. - It needs to be written differently now.

one more update: matching Cut, Copy, and Paste icons added.

#50562

Got you...the new copy, paste, cut icons look good...lol-got to have the 'latest version'-sleep more soundly at night!

;)

I see how you have now put @your website the following for recent changes:

Macaquaskin for 1.5- latest nightly

Rhapsody for 1.5- latest nightly

Macaqua for 1.5- latest nightly

These (3) would not give you 'browser shakes'...where as:

safNB build for 1.5 only----might give you 'browser shakes'...

SafariMilk "1.5" by susumu (which you updated) @Firebird Main Theme Site-gives the 'browser shakes'...

Completely understood that this is going to occur with themes while there are soooo many changes being built into FB nightly trunks...

Sure that you are aware of this Lynch, he-he...I'm sticking with my present stable AE 20030817 build Optimized for Plll and your Macaqua themes!

Looks like more and more themes are being updated... great!

And they all have to be updated yet again! Muah ha ha!

At this moment, the default theme itself is broken on the latest nightly (20030826). Try selecting the default theme from the Themes panel and see what happens.
