I downloaded the panther widget theme by grandmasta from art.gnome.org
and i cant seem to get it to work.. (i have gnome 2.2) and everytime i go to the themes panel click install new theme then click on panther in the list... nothing changes except the striped background appears.. but the galaxy theme thats currently on doesnt go away to let panther on.. am i missing an engine or somthing?
anyhelp would be good thanks

Could be a few things. first the theme uses gtk-engines-pixmap which is pretty much mandatory on most commertial distros e.g. mdk rh.., not sure about slack, deb, but on my gentoo it Did Not Come with the gnome pack. another could be gdk-pixbuf which im thinking is it.. Can you get any other Pixmap based themes to run? Also.. I have a new version of the theme in the making, look forward to a Fat release around when GNOME 2.4 comes out. 
well i have gtk-engines-piximap
but im not sure bout that gdk pixbuf.. which i bet that is it too.. so im gunna go look into it.. thanks
