What should've been included in the New MacBook Pro?

What shold've been included in the new MacBook Pro's that we're just released?

Personally, a larger trackpad like the MacBook Air should've definitely been included, a new black MacBook-style spaced-out backlit keyboard, maybe larger resolutions all around as options, and maybe a second Hard Drive in the 17"? There just has to be more room in there. Maybe eSATA port, too. Or maybe include a USB --> eSATA adapter or something.

Perhaps BluRay will be included in the next SuperDrive update?

Oh and I'm the only one thinking "A touch screen for the MacBook maybe?"

Where's the checkbox for "magnetic latch"? I like the current design, it's just that latch.

Voted for "new keyboard"; I guess I like the MacBook's.

First three I can understand... after that it's streching bit too far at this point. New design will come only with new processors I believe (Nehalem) as Penryn is just a (45nm) refresh of current Merom's (65nm). Nothing too exicting architecture wise. That should explain why no faster processors. Keeping the same cost while giving tad more speed and better performance/watt thus more battery.

Then, your SSD... well, 64GB is way too less for system like MBP which are intended to use as mobile workhorses. Plus, it makes more sense to add major features when you're planning major upgrade. Current upgrade doesn't count as major one.

As for QuickPath... how you can put something that hasn't released yet??

I guess I'm happy with the current look of keyboard... anything above 1440 x 900 would be an overkill for 15" display (my girl got XPS 12.1" with 1280 x 800, she can't go lower on resolution since she needs deskspace for work. But she is adjusting with it, not satisfied with it). For 17" you hav eoptional 1920 x 1200 display at extra cost. As for Touchpad, I'll leave it to "to-each-his-own". I don't see much trouble using existing touchpad for MBA-style gestures... as I've notices that Apple touchpads are quite larger than other notebook makers.

Guess that leaves me with only one option to vote. More ports... maybe. I guess the current 2 usb, 2fw 400/800, audio in, out and DVI are good enough. It won't hurt to have another USB maybe (you get 2 usb in 17" mbp).
