I'm kinda new with this stuff but I tried my hardest, but I'm running into a bit of a problem. I uninstalled the latest version of iTunes I had on my computer, restarted it, then downloaded and installed iTunes+MP. Now I'm running into a problem where iTunes won't start because the library of music I have was saved with a newer version of iTunes.
Does anybody have and suggestions or solutions? I searched around the forums for a bit but didn't find anything.
I think, you must create new library in older iTunes, cause newer iTunes library it is not compatibile with older version. Save your playlists and create new library
To do that, would I have to save my library as a .xml file and then delete everything in my iTunes, then un-install iTunes and then re-install it, and import the library.xml?
I dont know, it will be sucessful. Try it, but I think, it will be better if you uninstal iTunes and delete your library forever. Its not difficult to create now library, instal iT + MP, wait for evening,put your music folder to library and let it be. During the night will everything make complete and tomorow you will have new library. I dont know, how is your library large, mine has about 60gb, so I make it always in the night

I think you could reset it simply by going to %appdata%Apple ComputeriTunes and deleting the itunesprefs.xml file there. This just resets the preferences and library (the music that you've already got in the library stays there) and then simply set the library folder to whatever it was. Takes half a minute and no uninstall or importing songs again is needed. 
How did you get it to work???
I had this problem earlier and I could not figure out how to fix it so I uninstall itune. It keep saying my library doesn't seem to be a valid library or something.
