How do you remove this? (or if anybody knows what its process is listed as that would be nice)

Wow that's pretty cool actually, I'd love to have the link to that ![]()
I seriously doubt you would. It's not the least bit useful. ![]()
I don't think you can download it, it only comes with Toshibas.
Well I do own a toshiba, perhaps it is on an OEM disk or whatnot?
Whenever you find the process name, let me know so I can google it ![]()
Ah, is yours older? Most of the newest ones I've used have the stupid thing on them. My last one had something like it, but you could close it at least. :/
EDIT: Nevermind I found out how to turn it off. Now Explorer has stopped working though. :/
Here you go, Phantom: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/T....exe-17106.html ![]()
Yeah, it's about 3 years old. Thanks for the link, I just bookmarked it. Going to take a look when I get home tomorrow morning ![]()
@Phantom_Lord
It would be great to know, how to remove this damn thing, cause it does not help me anyway, but is visible on some movie players (like GOM player or PowerDVD), on the black part of the screen.
@Sir Pimpalot
your link is just to identify & kill the process of recognizing flash cards, but this process I need to have working (USB pen drives, flash cards of different kinds, etc. etc.)
My notebook is quite new. It's a TOSHIBA Satellite A200-10w.
DOES ANYBODY KNOW THE ANSWER ???
For non toshiba users: What is this thing?
For non toshiba users: What is this thing?
Showed looks this way:
But mine is also visible on the black part of the screen when watching movies
:
To end it just open Task Manager, go to processes, find TCrdMain in the first list, and click End Process. ![]()
@Bjorn: Its a popup dock that always sits at the top of the screen and has links to stuff like locking the computer and adjusting control-panel related things.
What is it?
Its called Toshiba Flash Cards...as I'm sure you probably know...
Whats it do?
It gives shortcuts to things like power management and the such, basically an on-screen version of the function+f 1-12 combination
Whats it for?
its really more aimed @ people with tablet pc's, in order to improve functionality while the screen is rotated around and is covering the keyboard
How to stop it?
Vista: 1st End the process as stated above
2nd Remove from the "Startup" folder in the "Start->All Programs" menu
3rd Uncheck it from the startup programs in control panel, and MSConfig
4th Restart
5th Enjoy a flash card free computer!
I own a Toshiba and it really is alot easier to just use the function keys when you don't have a tablet PC...lawlz
i just got a sony vaio and put vista on it and i had a brand new toshiba and i loved the cards now that there gone i want them and my function keys dont work so i cant change brightness
You might be able to just copy the entire FlashCards folder and load it to your new computer, not sure though, hope that helps santaninja
