Adobe Photoshop Elements and Lightroom Position

My question is to those who use Adobe Photoshop Elements and Adobe Lightroom.

Photoshop Elements problem:

Everytime I open the program it refuses to remember the size of folder panel and right-side panel. So everytime I run it, it makes all panels to the default position. Why is that and what can I do ?

Lightroom problem:

It is similar to Photoshop elements problem. But it also refuses to remember the position and size of the whole window if you choose not fullscreen mode.

Any guesses ?

Hmmm... don't know 'bout Elements or Lightroom much, but with Photoshop you can save your workspace... Window menu.
