If it says you need internet explorer 6, you need internet explorer 6+ :P otherwise you can't visit the site. Firefox isn't IE. If you're on a Mac then the only options I know of are to do the transaction on a pc with internet explorer or try this: http://www.kronenberg.org/ies4osx/ < Run Internet Explorer (up to version 7) on an Intel Mac

Also, try contacting the company, see if they have a page that can be viewed with other browsers

you should contact the company

No you don't.

Quit Safai, go to Terminal and type the following:

% defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1

Start Safari again. You should now see a "Debug" menu in the menubar. Click on it, go to "User Agent" and select "Windows MSIE 6.0". It should work and let you access the site. I've used this more than a few times to get past dumb things like that (because 99% of the time, the site works correctly). However, since this is your valuable banking information, proceed with caution.

PS: The above is on a Mac. On Windows, you can show the Debug menu by changing the Preferences.plist file located in C:Documents and Settings(your username)Application DataApple ComputerSafari. Open this file with WordPad, for best results. At the bottom, you should see a . This is almost to the very bottom. Add this in before the :

<key>IncludeDebugMenu</key>
<true/>

Restart Safari and it should work.

If you've got 3.0.5 or 3.1 (ADC builds) go to Edit, Preferences, and click on the Advanced Tab. The select the "Show Develop menu in menu bar." Close. You should have the Develop menu between Bookmarks and Window menus.

don't you have a windows pc? i don't think it will work with other browser if they require ie

Any of you ever thought that the site requires IE because it may be using an ActiveX control.
