i think you have to take a look at Windows DreamScene, bcuz if you play the Videos in Windoes DreamScene, it also take up same CPU as DreamDesk takes....so its no diffrence of DreamScene and DreamDesk in taking resources.

I already knew from product description that it was going to use CPU 
Vista itself is a CPU hungry OS (imagine all CPU hungry beasts packed in one nasty OS).

Hey, thank you ... for me it works flawlessly, although I have encountered some minor problems with rk launcher ... but you already know that problem.
Would be cool if you could add a decent design for OSX desktop environments... or does anyone have a link to such a clip ?

well i m tryin my best to fix that problem..!! but the problem is not in the DreamDesk , the problem is the Windows XP Library files , it does not support video render ,... but let me see may be i can fix it...!!

Remember when I said I had 256mb.... well I recently found out I have 512mb. I have no idea why I thought i had 256mb..... 
I'm slightly embarrased but anyway. I downloaded it and gave it a shot.
I guess you already know about flickering layered windows, avedesk objects, and objectdock.
But it does run smoothly though

The flicker can be avoided by using different rendering techniques, actually.
It's nice, however Im not sure that it's really nice enough to lose my desktop icons. I only keep the most important of desktop icons on my desk so losing them is kind of a bummer just to see an animated background to my desktop. But still I like where you're going with this and wish you well with it.
Oh and I get terrible flickering as well when I use certain docklets on my rocket dock to make them unusable since they can't really be read when they are flickering that badly.

im now working on diff techniques on redering the video...!! so lets see wht goes next..!!
but DreamDesk works fine with AveDesk , and other layerred windows in Vista Operating Systems all Editions..!!
so lets hope for better stable release for WindowsXP in future...!!

Yea, i knw this Big Flickring Problem and im working on it..!!!
and about loosing ur Desktop icons.. i think u will not get tht problem in next version of DreamDesk..! so plz be patient for next release of DreamDesk.!!
