SLR film camera to digital

Well I got my slr camera a couple years ago, and im thinking about buying one of those kits

so you can take digital shots with a film slr. I have not seen them, or heard about them for a

while. I think they were around $600. If they are still that much I might as well just buy a new

camera.

Even I've not heard much about digital backs for film camera's lately. Digital SLRs are so cheap these days and plenty to choose from, I guess demand must have diminished for such equipment.

I've no jack idea about pricing, but if they do cost as much you mentioned... buying a new digital SLR sounds like much better proposition to me.

I don't use film (However if I had more money I'd buy a film SLR) however I believe at most/some places where you can get photos developed they can also give you a CD of all your photos too. I have a friend that does that. I don't know how high res though.

It saves you from buying an expensive product and if your going to get them developed anyway it can't cost you that much more.

Why spend all that dough on a kit (that might or might not work that well) when you can get a cd for a couple of bucks anywhere you get your film developed?

Yea thats true.... I guess i will spend my on something else. I also guess thats why most people didn't buy those kits, and they are so hard to find. But it is a interesting concept.
