Uninstallation Problems

Ok so I was getting that Itunes problem which caused me to uninstall flyakite in its entirety through add/remove programs. However now nothing I double click opens. Folders, programs, everything in the start menus. I have to right-click the icon and then click open for anything to open. I reinstalled fak and checked C:Program Files but there was no fak folder in there.

I'm posting this from a friends house because I can't open anything on my PC anymore. I heard the problem might be because the first installation process hung at around 99% when it was trying to install the itunes component and I cancelled it.

Also, for some strange reason, I had system restore turned off and it looks like restoring my PC to an older date is out of the question.

If there's any other way to fix please tell me.

firstly, you can not find it in C:program Files. it's in c:windowsflyakiteosx...

if everything else fails but you can still access c: (via other methods i.e. safe mode, command line through cd drive etc.), you can try this:

go to c:windowssystem32config. look for the file 'system' (no extension). rename to something else. then select the latest 'system_bak_xxxxx' file. rename that into 'system', then reboot...
