Multimeters?

Any musicians here in canada know where i can purchase a sound frequency measuring multimeter, preferably here in quebec? i've searched far and wide, but virtually all multimeters i've looked at lacked the ability to measure frequency in hertz.

It's for a science project i have that will end up producing sound. however, the fluctuation in sound might be lower than 1%, which i understand is too unoticeable to even the trained ear. Basically, i need proof that my device will actually work.

Yadda yadda, i really really need one. So anyone who could help me out, please do.

thanks in advance.

Hi -

not sure if this is some help, but there are many Guitar tuners for PC (shareware & freeware), some of them also can measure frequency in hertz I think. So you'd need only a piece of software and a microphone - not sure about the accuracy though.

There's one for PocketPC, too, that's freeware:

Something on this page:

Or, if you could find a way of finding wavelength, you could prove the frequency.
