I think they might be asking for the new 2008 set I know that is what I want. If not I could upload one of the old sets to my server for download.

Thats pretty much what the post said and as far as searching you make the assumption that he has not searched. The new office app just came out an so far as I know no one has extracted them and posted them anywhere, so he has the right to ask in these forums. Try sticking around for a few years before you start yelling at people to search, I don't see a moderator badge anywhere.

Is there a difference between the windows and the mac file type icons?
well of course! the mac versions [especially the 2008 versions] look a hell of a lot better than the windows ones ... which is why i want them.
.. And I'm looking for these too 
The 2008 or 2004 Mac Office file icons. They're included in FlyakiteOSX, but I'd like them seperately as I have Vista now.
Does anyone know where to find them? I've been searching deviantart for hours now
