Removing the file picture preview from xp folders

Hello, Does anyone know how to remove the pesky preview of images that shows up on the i386 folder and the windows folders and such.

Also do you know how to make your system files have custom icons. Oh does anyone know how to hide the i386 it doesn't have a hide button in properties.
