I have an annoying problem: Whenever I'm trying to "save as" a picture (any picture) in Internet Explorer, I can only save the picture as "untitled.bmp" (please have a look at attached image)
How to fix that? Does anyone had the same problem before? :cry:

Use Opera or Firebird (Y)
It's a long time glitch in IE that at this rate will never get fixed. But there is a workaround. If the image you want to download is loaded directly from a hyper-link than you can right-click on the hyper-link and choose the "save target as" instead of the save image as. This should download the image to your drive in the proper .jpg format. Of course saving the image as a .bmp isn't going to hurt the image it will just take up more space as a .bmp and you will loose its proper name. But if you catch it in time you can always name it what you want. <_
The common remedy is to close your browser, clear the internet cache, and try again.

Yes that works but the problem will be back in the future and you will have to repeat this again. Oh well it is one of the things we have to live with when using Windoze.
