I think the point of this thread is about an unhappy Apple fan talking about the lack of should-be-there components. SD card slot could have been implemented. Also Firewire and Ethernet could have been made available through an extension cable with the connectors. You wouldn't plug the cable unless you really need to connect to a cabled network / firewire device.

Thus he then compares it to the Commodore (great computer, BTW, at least at the time it was released and up to a decade later)

Wow, I didn't know that the Macbook Air didn't have ethernet and firewire ports! I thought it was only lacking the optical drive, this is real new to me.
