[Help] Removin File Edit Etc From Explorer Windows

How would I go about doing that? I'm using ObjectBar and want to go for the complete Mac look, so i'd love to remove those pesky tabs...any ideas? Thanx in advance.

OB can do that,

general option,

"hide menus of applications when a replaceable secyion is present",

you can exclude certain programs too.......

hope it helps

what's up? in order to remove those menus and have them up on the object bar, all you have to do is right click the objectbar and go to properties, then go to file - general options and place a checkmark where it says "hide menus of applications when a replaceable section is present", that should do the trick. remember though, that not all software is compatibal with objectbar, so this will not work for all apps, but don't worry, if it doesn't work for a specific app, it will simply display the "file... edit... etc.." in the normal spot at the top of the window. a good example of an app not designed to work with it is widows movie maker. anyways, that's it. :canadian:

Another app that is not compatible is Ahead Nero 6.

Thanks a lot guys, that did the trick. Not only is Nero6 not compatible though, it also gives me a memory access error if it's not on the Exclusion list....same problem with StyleXP, but for some reason the Exclusion List didn't do the trick there. Also, Opera is not compatible, but it works fine with its own bar.

Oh yeah, one more thing while I'm at it: is there any way to disable YZ's Toolbar for IE but leave it on for Explorer? This very nice and accurate Explorer toolbar was posted on AquaXP awhile ago ( http://aquaxp.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=2256 ), but it reverts IE from the Panther look to a comparably ugly, striped, Jaguar look. Or if anyone knows how to get Explorer to look like that without using YZ's Toolbar...

I was wondering the same thing.............

yztoolbar will skin both windows explorer and internet explorer, i dont think that can be helped..

The solution I had in mind was using WebBlinds to skin IE and thus supersede YZ's toolbar...i just tried it and it works fine, but there is no Panther theme for WebBlinds :(
