[help] Changing These Icons:

Just installed windowsblinds, and now when I goto save a file, in the save dialogue I get a grey box around the location icons like this:

savebox.jpg

Is there any way to replace these? with the same icons, just without the grey box...

Running win2kpro :)

It's the skin... choose one with the same gray color and you won't see the boxes.

hehe. Seriously, I think Sone's right.

2K does transparency fine, I think the icons just actually have a grey box round them, as M$ weren't expecting anyone to change the button colours :P

So is it not possible to change them?

Uhm... I may be mistaken, but I thought that though Win2k handles transparency quite well this is not true for icons. That means, you can only have 24-bit icons w/o alpha blending.

Hence the shadow.

But then again, I might be wrong...

But if you put an icon on your desktop it has transparency - so why is it different for this?

No idea, really.

To find a bit abou tthat matter, I suggest you extract a few icons (from your desktop) with ResHacker from shell32.dll and examine them for colour depth. Especially the difference between multiple resolutions would be interesting.

That should clear a few things in case you find something.
