Stops at login screen

I've had flyakite installed now for several months and have had no problems, but a few days ago I think I deleted a file from C:/ that makes the computer login. When it starts up it gets to this screen (http://blogs.howtogeek.com/michael/files/2...ogon-screen.jpg) but doesnt show any user details and just freezes.

So I put the hard drive on another computer but recycle bin doesnt exist as a folder and I can't uninstall flyakite because I'm looking at the files on another computer.

I need a way of manually deleting the login screen without having to uninstall it or view anything in the registry etc, or a copy of the file that's just straight on C:/

And in case anyone suggests it, I have tried starting the computer in safe mode but the problem still occurs.

Can´t you copy the file you deleted from the other computer to your main computer.

Should be the same file, or at least working.

Or start in save mode?

if you make frequent backups, you can use your latest backup (before disaster struck lol!).

-put your hard drive in another computer

-access your x:windowssystem32config

-look for the file 'system' (has no extension), you'll notice the date of your last access...

-rename original 'system' (let's say "system_fiasco")

-look for the latest 'system.bak_xxxxx'

-rename this to 'system' (no extension)

re-connect to your comp and boot...
