Miranda gone wrong

Hope some one can help. For no reason my miranda has gone funny. I have no option to select skins any more . Its just gone from the options list. Also the clist modern and tabsrmmm files arent available in the plug in list to check/uncheck.

The main miranda window is just un-skinned. has anyone else had this problem if so what to do. I have un-installed and reinstalled but no help. I followed te instruction s on here to the letter. I am going to try uninstall, clean registry and reinstall, see if that helps.

Thanks

Had the same problem once. For some reason your Visual C++ runtime files have disappeared. Reinstall them.

I just downloaded Miranda IM, it doesn't have skin selection either. I'm trying to figure it out, tell me if you found anything.

Did you enable/download clistmodern.dll?

#487392

yes but for some reason it doesnt appear in the plug in list

#487394

It's not appearing in the plug-in list because you don't have the runtime files necessary to use it.

Like I said, check that you've got the necessary Visual C++ runtime files.

Where can i download clistmodern.dll?

#487399

Here's the link for the clistmodern.dll and you should also download IE View

Visual C++ runtime files re-installed, all plug ins installed, ieview installed, ..... and still nothing.

The other day I remember updating one of the plug ins, I cant remember which but that was just before the problem.

Trillian here I come

ok I run the diagnostic thingy on miranda version info and the problem is this

  1. Unloadable Plugins (1):
  2. clist_modern.dll v.0.0.0.0 [24 Sep 2007] -
  3. Plugin statically links to missing dll file: MSVCR71.dll

Any ideas what this means

It means exactly what I've been telling you: you're missing runtime files, specifically MSVCR71.dll and MSVCP71.dll.

Google for them, put them into your /windows/system32 folder, then restart Miranda. You'll be able to reselect clist_modern in your plugins menu again.
