i am running Windows XP, but love the look of Vista. I have tried the Vista Transformation Pack, but did not like it because it was a pain if I ever wanted to change anything.
I found VistaMizer and I like it much better because it is very similar to the install and uninstall fo FlyaKite. I loved Flyakite by the way.
This being said, I am trying to not change any system properties or dialogue boxes to say Vista. I would like for them to still say XP. I apply the transformation and get what I want with one exception. When the system is booted up or down, the system dialogue that appears states Windows Vista Ultimate. I have tried uninstalling Startup, Boot Screen, Shutdown & Logoff Screen, Boot Screen, so on and so forth.
I am able to keep the XP boot screen, but I can't change the System dialogue that states it is "saving settings" and so on.
I do love the glowing windows flag in the background when booting up and down, but do not want the System Dialogue boxes to say Vista.
Can anyone help me please? Thank you in advance for any help.
