Ipod Video TV Out Issues

Again, the Classic is giving me odd issues. I have a set of aux cables that connect to standard TVs (video, left and right jacks) and terminates in a headphone jack, essentially made for video Ipods. It worked fine with the 30G, but the classic doesn't seem to register it. It is set to the correct tv setting (NTSC), so I know that's not the issue. Is it possible that Apple failed to deliver video capabilities through the headphone port as the older video Ipods could?

the classic does not send out the video on the headphone jacket anymore, you need to have the "MB129ZA/A" Apple Composite AV Cable or the old universal dock with S-Video output.

Damn. I had a feeling. That's highly disappointing... I wonder why they decided to take that route... *glares at Ipod*
