Black Spec on Screen

Hey Guys,

I just noticed a black speck/dot on my new iMac monitor. I have checked to see if its dead pixel but it isn't as you can look at it from different angles and it moves above the screen, so it has to be something on the iMac case itself.

I've tried loads of cleaners but none seem to be able to get it off.

Any Ideas?

(I'm supposing of course that this is a LCD/like monitor)

The display is protected by a layer of glass (afaik), maybe this black speck/dot is not a dead pixel, but a black something between the pixels and the protective glass. If such is the case, you have two options: disassemble the iMac monitor yourself to get rid of it (HIGHLY DISCOURAGED, I mean, if you want to, you know what you're doing), or send it to warranty for fixing/replaceing.

If it's a new iMac, take it to the Apple Store, @ the Genius Bar. I'm sure they will be able to fix that problem, as they can basically fix any and all Mac problems :).

Thats another problem, being in the UK the closest Apple Store is in London which is over 3 hours train ride away :(
