Being drunk somtimes leads to good things!

Fixed some Vista Compatibility problems:

FixedVista problems:
+ fading / setalpha no longer results in a black background

FixedMultimonitor problems:
+ ShowCase offset problems

Fixed Other problems:
+ ATLASSERT() errors in shadow dialogs are gone

How?

Overwrite your previous version (1.3 / 2.0) with this new AveDesk.exe. Be sure to remove the Languages folder!

WHY?

You gotta thank my girlfriend for occupying the shower for such a long time period that I started fixing bugs.

Thanks, finally can use it on my laptop. :)

#485566

yay!

edit:this isn't working

it said it needed d3dx9_36.dll in order to run

after getting it, it crashes as soon as i start it up (caused an error and needed to close)

running vista ultimate if it matters

I think that's a DirectX component. You can always download the dll from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?d3dx9_36 then extract the dll to your avedesk and sys32 folder

#485897

Wow, if only I didnt wipe Vista to use Leopard. :P

#485928

What if you;ve got directX 10 installed and dont want to install 9?

#486215

#486254

AndreasV, thanx a lot for the release, and pls keep going.

Note: I´m running Vista Ultimate and also got the d3dx9_36.dll error but it went away as soon I put this file in avedesk.exe's folder (downloaded from http://w3.externet.hu/~lpoczkod/GSdx9v10-3.rar).

Why would you need to be running a Vista compatibility build on XP?

#486716

Vista compatibility shouldn't mean it breaks XP compatibility, one would hope...

#486742

works great here as well. thank you
