Get info on multiple files

I'm using 10.4.11 on a Macbook 2.16

I remember that when I used to get info on multiple files a single pane would open up, telling me the combined size of all the files. This was useful because the Finder window by default does not tell me the size of the selected files. Now however when I get info on multiple files I get multiple info panes - this is very annoying and useless for me.

Does anyone have an idea as to how this could have happened and how I can get back my single info pane?

EDIT: Urk, sorry, it seems this feature was never there on Tiger. I don't know why I remember seeing it. Using Option/Alt in the contextual menu or simply using Command+Option+I works to bring up Inspector.

Windows does that. Maybe you remember from doing it once in a PC?
