I tried my hand at creating some christmas wallpapers.

Please give me some feedback about how I can create better wallpapers

I took a look at your wallpapers and I think you should add some background images to some of the walls, as well as try to make them more high quality (for example one of them was done in mspaint, no offense ). Was this your first time at making wallpapers btw?

Not bad for a first attempt by the way . Also, there are lots of tutorials (google) that show how to make things such as wallpapers, icons, etc

and resized and applied filters in GIMP.

Mmm... they would look better if you do this:

1. Print them (the pictures).

2. Use a semi-transparent paper ("papel de calcar" in spanish, no idea in english) to copy the picture by your own.

3. Then take a photo or scan your copied version, which will look a lot better, and paint it in the computer.

If you have a wacom tablet or similar, you can just print the pictures and copy them using the tablet. This way you won't have to apply filters to make them look fine.

I don't know if he encourages some sort of ripping, but I'd rather denote this is his first attempt doing wallpapers (as he already mentioned) and I believe through a lots practice he will become a good artist about wallpapers.

When I started doing music (with FastTracker, lots of time ago) I first did some known songs, then I started mixing some of them or doing remixes, and finally did my own music (which BTW is awful but keep in mind I was fourteen at that time, hahaha)

^^ It is after all his first attempt at creating something like this. There's no harm in modding/ripping other people's works if you keep them to yourself and ask the original author before releasing them. A newbie cannot be expected to know that, so he madfe this mistake. But now he should be knowing it and so (hopefully) won't repeat it. As Matonga said, let him learn.

Oh...

Not just ripping, but copying in detail you learn what the "masters" use to make good pictures. For example the curves on the mouth of Donald Duck, which in turn are a lot similar to Duffy Duck... or is it the other way around? mmm... whatever. You finally find yourself doing a variation over that and drawing your own ducks.

I don't mean just copy and sell and make a profit of it, instead I mean copy to learn, and to finally draw without copying (unless you want to put some known character in the picture; I once drawed Odie in a gift box for my sister).

Edit: it would be easier to explain all this in my native language
