Miranda Smileys Help

I am having trouble getting the smileys to work in miranda. I have the proper plugins that are required but I don't see them on my chat log. Here are some pics..

@ CubanPete: Try to put OGSmileys.dll and OGSmileys.msl into your "smileys" folder like this:

C:Program FilesMiranda IMsmileys

and try to disable "Only replace isolated smileys"

What happens exactly if you type a smiley into your conversation window and send the message? Does it display a real smiley or just plain text?

Have you also tried other Smiley-Packs?

What characters do you use for typing smileys? Do you find those characters inside the smiley-file? Just open the MSL- or ASL-file with Notepad and have a look. You should see something like this:

Smiley = "./ksk-smile.png", 0, " =) :-)", "Smile"

Smiley = "./ksk-tongue.png", 1, " ;P :-P ;-P", "Tongue"

Smiley = "./ksk-grin.png", 2, " ;D ) )) )))", "Grin Smile"

Yeah it just displays a plain text, no blank image docs or anything...

You know, what's strange? You're using the Unicode version of SmileyAdd, but Miranda displays an "A" for ANSI.

I guess that there's a general problem with your Miranda installation...

It could also be a Vista-related problem... Do you have taken Ownership of the "Miranda" folder?
