I need some advice. I am trying to install the latest version of the Gimp on flyakiteosx... i have downloaded from the Gimp website, CNET, and some others, and every time i finishing installing I can't open it up. The error reads something like The Gimp has experienced a problem with windows and needs to close.
Any help would be wonderful!

what do you mean 'latest' version?' there is a latest, but there is also STABLE version. check this out... http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html
btw, am also running FAK 3.5, and GIMP stable. no problems...
Sorry all I meant was version 2.4.2. It has failed for me three times, and that link is one place that I have tried already, thank you though...

It's also possible that for some reason I will just need to uninstall FAK, load Gimp, and reinstall FAK. I once had the same problem with iTunes and once uninstalling FAK and reinstalling iTunes, it worked. Who knows?
try downloading that portable version of GIMP 2.4.2 at
http://www.aljacom.com/~gimp/gimp_2_4_2.exe
It's a self-extracting preinstalled version
and see if it works

That problem with iTunes was probably due to the multi-plugin. No relation to the GIMP,
