Holy molly!

I just got offered a job! ****

it's temporary.. but could lead to full time work after a few months...

the only problem is that it's about 39 miles away! thats an hour train ride..

anyway, the job is testing video editing software and has a nice salary.. twice my old one.. =p

if you like it better than your currant job, then use the spare cash to buy a yearly train pass to save costs. and a 1hr train ride is nothing really considering some people have to travel about 2 hrs to get to london by train everyday.

well thats what I would do anyway!

takes me an hour by bus to get to london. Where is this job deathmedic? oxford? can't you do it at home?

i'm currently unemployed.. so it's a great job, it's only on the weekends too.

it's in newbury.. just south-west of reading..

It takes me half an our to get to my job... by foot.

Doesn't make sense to go by bus (no trains here) because it would take me half an hour at least, anyway :)

With the spare cash I would buy a notebook or magazines, to spend time while being in the train ;)

Great news. :)

Sometimes it's amazing how fast part-time can become full time.

The two jobs I had before my last one both started that way & I ended up a manager at both.

Five and three years respectively which is actually pretty good without an MBA, IMO.

I get a kick out of the differences in times vs here. An hour commute is nothing.

My wife commutes 45 minutes each way only to park in an out lot to catch a shuttle to her building....5 days a week. I'm lucky with a 30 minute to my parking space right out front. A mini and a hybrid help out with the petol.

Congats on the new venture!

my last job had me walking about a mile at 5:30 in the morning..

I didn't say i disliked the traveling btw ;)

#483983

well good for you

My job's a 10-minute bike ride away :)

Deathmedic, didn't mean anything by the comment just a stupid generalization.:)

Guess if I ever end up working in Toronto I'd rather take the train from Waterloo instead of living there.

My job's a 10-minute bike ride away :)

Mine's a five second walk from the kitchen depending on how caffeinated I am. ;)

Yep. Congrats.

But what, what about this Molly person? I'm glad she's holy, but where does she fit in this story? Did you take the job from her? Or are you just trying to get her attention? Is this the Molly character played by Heather Graham in Scrubs? Does she need her adverbs? Or a different one that I don't know? I'm confused.
