Programs You Use To Make Wallpapers

Interested in giving it a shot, so I just wanted to hear what programs everyone uses. Also, what are the best sizes to make them?

1680x1050 (that's my resolution, since my walls are personnal I don't do them for other res )

Widescreen: 2650x1600 (that way it will fit almost any monitor). Most people seem to forget about 1920x1200 (my res) so just go as big as it goes. 1600x1200 for fullscreen.

I use Photoshop. For widescreen, make them 2560x1600, and for full screen, 1600x1200. This way, you have one size that can fit any screen. You don't have to worry about making individual versions for each screen size.
