bolero, yeah kwinacqua it did made my pc un slower ,I dont know why,so I change to another decoration called mini-Acqua ,the authors name escapes me athis time ,but U might find it at Kdelook.org ,it is nice and works great no slowdown at all,as far as Jens Albers Kwin-acquace original author he is supposed to release another version pretty soon with no bugs at all he might be waiting for KDE 3.1 final .

Great Desktops.

Thats not my desktop anymore, since I switched to redhat, and I havent changed something, until I get bored of the cdefault view.

#5440

telmo, how long did it take you to make those themes?

i tried reading up on how to make themes in the gnome manual but i couldnt figure it out..

could you maybe create a tut on skinning linux for gtk and nautilus and metacity??

if so that would be splendid.

#5622

meloncully,

I am doing the themes on and off, spending maybe 1 or 2 hours at the time, most of the time is spend in researching and playing around with the config files until I get it right.

In http://art.gnome.org you can find tutorials for metacity and nautilus. GTK tutorial is nowhere to be found. I had to resort to read the GTK code that deals with gtkrc in order to be able to understand what the gtkrc is all about.

My themes will be released at the begining of the year, probably January 17th (my birthday)
