Aqua-Soft ForumsI uninstalled Flyakiteosx, but it seems that all of my critical files are gone. Since, I can't even see my login screen. My computer restarts by itself, and there is no way of using the system restore even with the cd. I only need all the files that flyakite puts in the system folders in one zip file and their paths, so I can put them manually. Please somebody help!!!

Why can't you load them off of your Windows XP CD?
I have no idea. Whenever I try to press f10 nothing happens.
Start from CD and choose repair console or something like that (system restore perhabs)
I was using the restore console, and I executed the following commands:fixboot, fixmbr, CHKDSK /P C: in order, but it's not working or at least that's what I am thinking of, since it is stuck at 25%.
Can take soooome time. I´d wait a bit longer, go watch a DVD and look if it´s gone past 25%.

At least you could just reinstall windows. That shouldn´t harm any files, appart of the system files, just have to reinstall some applications that need that.

If you reinstall windows then it will get rid of everything you have leaving you with a blank slate. But cant you just use restore point, isn't that on the xp cd.
No, not true. If you just reinstall windows, without formatting, it´ll keep your documents. Done that several times. Although you should make a backup (actually you should have had one before).
If you cannot enter your system, i recomment Knoppix or BartPE.
beef has a point, I think you can just use system restore to restore your computer to how it was before FlyAKite?
@Björn i think you are right, my bad, i forgot.
Guys I'm sure all of those should work and bjorn I did the same thing you did many times. When I restore my computer I don't use the cd and so nothing gets deleted. BTW I am close to fixing the whole thing using the vista cd, which let's me access all of my files. I can use this for my advantage and restore things manually.
Flyakiteosx never restored anything to my normal pc state. So that's why I am not going to use it any more.
Thanks for helping guys. My problem has been resolved, but I had everything deleted from my C: drive. Sad :-[. flyakiteosx never restored anything, and it corrupted my recovery drive, which made matters worst. I used a vista cd, which actually worked.
